Available in more than 40 African countries and strengthened by its 100,000 subscribers, CANAL+ HORIZONS is the paid for French language channel of reference and covers a large part of the African continent.

With a pan-African aim, CANAL+ HORIZONS is committed to a genuine policy of purchasing and co-producing African cinema. Since 2005, the channel added its support to fifteen co-productions: longs films, fiction, documentaries, series and broadcasts.

CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS

Subsidiary of CANAL OVERSEAS created in 2002 under the name PRODOM, CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS is now one of the essential partners in overseas audiovisual productions. For anything issued from the overseas or devoted to these regions of the world. More than 200 œ pieces of work have been co-produced by CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS since its creation.

Stimulate, Support, Promote...

The work of CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS consists of supporting the production of audiovisual work overseas and promoting their exposure to a large audience. By its support, CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS wants to encourage new acting and directing talent to emerge and promote the development of different production work overseas.

The role of CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS is not only to provide funding but also to accompany the overseas producers and promote their connections with national or even international broadcasters to ensure their films are seen by as large an audience as possible.

More generally, CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS wants to encourage French and European producers to develop subjects regarding overseas so that these areas are given value and that the cultures are better known to the general public.

The following European audiovisual works and original French productions are eligible for support from CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS œ: documentaries, short films, music videos, TV soaps…

Through its co-production subsidiary, CANAL OVERSEAS is happy to reaffirm its involvement in the overseas audiovisual scene.
