IN 2009

CANAL OVERSEAS launches the package LE BOUQUET DE CANAL+ in Algeria, in Morocco and in Tunisia.

 

IN 2008

PRODOM changed name and became CANAL OVERSEAS PRODUCTIONS.
MultiTV AFRIQUE became CANAL OVERSEAS AFRICA.

 

IN 2007

MEDIA OVERSEAS became CANAL OVERSEAS.

 

IN 2003

MEDIA OVERSEAS became a subsidiary of the CANAL+ Group.

 

IN 2002

MultiTV AFRIQUE launched the package CANALSAT HORIZONS in more than 20 African countries.

The CANAL+ Group entrusted MEDIA OVERSEAS with managing its subsidiary in Poland, mainly the CANAL+ POLSKA channel and the CYFRA+ package.

Creation of PRODOM, company of MEDIA OVERSEAS, whose job was to co-produce audiovisual shows for overseas French-speaking countries.

 

IN 2001

MEDIA OVERSEAS took over the assets of the CANAL+ Group in Africa and became editor and operator of the CANAL+ HORIZONS channel, through its subsidiary MultiTV AFRICA.

 

SINCE 2000

With satellite coverage spilling over onto export markets, MEDIA OVERSEAS developed international channel packages intended for French populations, Francophones and Francophiles wanting programmes in French.

 

IN 1998

MEDIA OVERSEAS became a subsidiary of VIVENDI and turned to digital technology by developing channel packages received directly by satellite in Ku-band. Since then, MEDIA OVERSEAS has launched the CANALSAT REUNION, CANALSAT CARAIBES and CANALSAT CALEDONIE packages.

 

FROM 1993 TO 1996

CANAL+ was then launched in the Antilles, French Guyana, New Caledonia, Polynesia and Mauritius.

 

IN 1991

MEDIA OVERSEAS, then a subsidiary of HAVAS was responsible for overseas France, implementing the CANAL+ channel in analogue in Reunion.
